The Lead Diversity and Inclusion (BSBTWK501) unit focusses on the skills and knowledge necessary for Diploma of Business students to lead diversity within a workplace. This includes the assessment and implementation of an organization’s diversity policy, promotion of diversity within a team, and advocacy for the advantages of a diverse work environment. Individuals who oversee the work of others in groups of varying sizes are the target audience for this unit.

This Learner Resource has been divided into three elements, which are as follows:

  1. Reviewing the organization’s diversity policy
  2. Encouraging respect for diversity within the work team
  3. Advocating for the advantages of diversity

After the completion of this training, you will be required to finish an assessment pack for this competency unit. In order to validate your competence or performance, you will need to contact a supervisor, a manager, or an assessor who can observe you while undertaking project or workplace activities.

Upon successfully completing the assessment, you must have exhibited the skills and knowledge required to lead diversity and inclusion.
