The Develop Critical Thinking in Others (BSBCRT511) unit helps Diploma of Business students develop the necessary skills and knowledge to cultivate critical thinking in others within a workplace setting. This unit is intended for individuals who are responsible for coaching and developing teams, where critical thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation are essential.

The Trainer Manual for this unit is divided into three parts:

  1. Assessing individual and team critical and creative thinking skills
  2. Creating an environment that encourages the use of critical and creative thinking
  3. Monitoring and enhancing thinking practices

After completing the training, you will be required to undertake an assessment pack for this unit of competency. This will involve performing project or workplace tasks under the supervision of a manager, supervisor, or assessor who will verify your competence and performance.

Successful completion of the assessment demonstrates that you possess the skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate both formal and informal learning opportunities for team members to apply critical and creative thinking approaches.
