Purchase Goods and Services (BSBPUR301) is applicable to individuals studying the Certificate III in Business who are responsible for conducting low-risk, low-expenditure purchasing within an organization, utilizing established and documented purchasing strategies. It may be undertaken by someone working in a small organization with overall purchasing responsibilities, or by a purchasing specialist in a larger organization.

While some decision-making may be necessary in implementing purchasing strategies, the work is generally performed under supervision.

This lerarning outcomes are divided into three elements:

  1. Understand Purchasing and Personal Requirements
  2. Make Purchases
  3. Receive Purchases

Throughout the course there are various activities that encourage learners to reflect on their experiences, conduct research, and engage with the content. These activities also help learners prepare for the assessment tasks by prompting them to consider the issues involved.
