Engage in Workplace Communication (BSBXCM301) encompasses the skills and knowledge necessary for Certificate III in Business students to effectively communicate in the workplace using various forms such as written, oral, and nonverbal communication. It is applicable to a wide range of workers, with a particular emphasis on communication skills for individuals with limited responsibility for others. The Learner Resource for this unit is divided into three elements:

  1. Planning workplace communication
  2. Engaging in routine communication
  3. Participating in workplace communication

Upon completing the training, you will be required to undertake an assessment pack for this competency unit. To assess your competence or performance, you will need the support of a supervisor, manager, or assessor who can observe your execution of project or workplace tasks and verify your competency. Successful completion of the assessment indicates that you have demonstrated the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage in workplace communication.
